Why people are choosing Que Rico crisps over ordinary crisps
For a long time, crisps were simple. You picked up whatever was in the cupboard, opened the bag and didn’t think much further than flavour.
But recently, people have started becoming more intentional with food - even the small moments.
We care more about ingredients. We notice texture. We look for products that feel considered rather than mass produced. And that shift is exactly why premium crisps have become such a staple in cupboards.
At Que Rico, we didn’t want to create just another crisp.
We wanted to create something inspired by the slower, more thoughtful way food is enjoyed in Spain.
It starts with the potatoes.
Our potatoes are grown in Castile-León, Spain - a region known for producing potatoes with great natural flavour. Instead of building the whole experience around heavy seasoning, we wanted the base ingredients to already feel worth eating.

Then comes the oil.
We chose to cook our crisps in 100% Spanish olive oil. Olive oil felt true to Spanish food culture and created the lighter crunch and cleaner finish we wanted.
And then there’s the flavour.
Rather than creating flavours that overpower, we built combinations inspired by Spanish ingredients and sharing culture.
-
Serrano Ham & Rosemary for something savoury and rich.
-
Smoked Paprika Pimentón for warmth and depth.
-
Manchego Cheese & Onion for that creamy, slightly sweet balance.
-
Spanish Sea Salt for those who like a simpler flavour.
-
Spicy Chorizo for people who love bold flavour with a little heat.
-
Sea Salt & Sherry Vinegar for a softer take on a classic - balancing delicate sweetness with subtle tang rather than sharpness.

People are moving away from ordinary crisps because they’re looking for more than just a snack.
They’re looking for ingredients they recognise, flavours they remember and products that make even small moments feel special.
